The retired captain of industry is uncooperative, his in vain)withheld walking cane was used for at least one beating. The victim's brother Frederik Weber also has a motive, Julius's gross sabotage of the first attempt to sell their advertising agency lucratively, and another opportunity is coming up. Frederik's girlfriend, Carla Schmitt, had but claims to have broken off recently an affair with Julius. Fiancee Anna Kohlmeyer, who may have found out, tries to commit suicide by pills.
