Novice Gregor, a former junkie, expected to be expelled but now hopes the probably succeeding prior Ignatius may let him stay. The pub and brewery which sells the abbey beer Klosterthaler under an exclusive contract might loose it, rendering innkeeper Katharina Ziegler suspect, and a masked man sexually harassed her waitress Tanja Schramm, who wounded her assailant.
