Macy then tells Thorne if he does not trust her mother, she cannot see him anymore. To prove Macy wrong in her assumption, Thorne expresses that he wants to marry her immediately. Helen is perplexed as to why Ben wants to leave for work instead of waiting for Jake to come home. Ben explains that he is cautious because Jake vanished for more than a decade and that they simply do not know if he is still the young boy they remember him to be. Later, Margo and Jake arrive in Madison. Helen is overjoyed to be reunited with her long-missing son. After the initial happiness the obvious question is asked: Why did Jake suddenly leave the family at age 14 and never came back? From outside, Ben is watching the scene. Written by Torsten B.
