Frank, still holding the knife, screams that everyone is lying to him. He doesn't believe that Maggie's sick. Martha offers her home for Mike and Toni's wedding. When Toni explains that Maggie already agreed to organize it at the Powers house, Martha counters that Maggie seems very troubled. Still holding Maggie at knife-point, an antsy Frank asks Matt what it's going to be because he and Maggie have some traveling to do. Martha volunteers to be Toni's stand-in mother because she and her late husband Ralph always wanted a daughter. Toni decides that she won't ever find her mother, while in New York hospital, Webb Sutherland writes a letter to Barbara. Vito informs Webb that he wasn't able to diagnose him with lupus and orders more blood tests. Webb wonders if Toni is a smokescreen so that Vito can find Barbara, but Vito insists that he never wants to see her again. Vito says that he hopes Toni might give Mike his walking papers. After Vito leaves, Webb tells Barbara in his letter that Vito has replaced her with her own daughter. Hope Memorial security officers arrive on the roof with their guns drawn, escalating Frank's agitation. Frightened that Frank could harm Maggie, Matt sends security away. As Frank begins to leave with Maggie, Matt offers to fight him for her. As the two argue, the sounds in Maggie's head grow louder. She suddenly collapses, distracting Frank. Matt lunges for him, throwing punches. Frank drops the knife, but when Matt tries to grab it. Frank attempts to stab him. Matt manages to deflect the blade. Frank lunges for him again, but loses his balance and falls backward over the edge of the roof, plummeting to his death six stories below. Written by Skip Eastport See less
