When the prodigal son suddenly shows up at the door after years of radio silence, the two stubborn people first have to get used to each other again. Johannes should actually be happy that Felix has returned from the big city to follow in his footsteps as a farmer. As a matter of course, he repairs the combine harvester and drives out into the fields without asking. What Felix doesn't know: Johannes has sold his country - to his arch-rival Fuchs of all people. He not only has big plans for it, but also knows that Johannes' ex-wife Katrin, the mayor of the village, has her back. She knows her taciturn ex-husband and makes him promise to tell their son the truth about the sale immediately. But he can't bring himself to do it, because Felix is clearly enjoying his new beginning.
