After arriving at Greenville Hospital, John eases Althea's worries about Dr. Venable's decision to bring Edna up-to-date. Toni recounts for Martha her misplaced red hot fury at Mike earlier. After Toni confides that she's terrified of possibly meeting Vito in New York, Martha suggests she intentionally see him on her own terms so that she can rid herself of the ghosts from the past. Althea informs Edna that because of her stroke, two years of her memory are missing. Afterward, Edna becomes distraught over hearing about Althea and Nick's divorce. Reynolds breaks the news to Steve that Harrigan doesn't believe Dan committed suicide. Steve declines relieving Reynolds from the case but demands that Carolee not be told.
