Afterwards Johnny related how a similar sketch injured Red Skelton, when Johnny was one of his writers, as the door hadn't been modified to break. This led to Johnny's first national appearance when he filled in on the show. Carl Reiner first talked about an appearance by Peter O'Toole on The Tonight Show where he could not be understood, and did a lengthy impression of O'Toole. He then described how his facility with accents and types of speech came from not being a good student. He then discussed his current movie "The One and Only" and predicted Henry Winkler would become a big star in motion pictures. A clip from the movie was shown. He also discussed wearing a hairpiece. This led to a discussion of an old radio show that discussed people's personal problems. Jack Klugman talked about how he was still nervous before coming on the show. He then told how the heavy rains kept him from living at home (near the ocean) for several days and he stayed at the studio. That led to him saying he still came across as a slob, even when he spent a lot of money, and how priorities change with aging. He then discussed his work in "Quincy", learning from real medical examiners for the role, and a clip from that show was shown. Jan Todd is a weightlifting champion, referred to as the "strongest woman in the world". She talked a bit about power-lifting and then demonstrated by lifting 415 pounds. Johnny lifted 158 pounds, with Carl Reiner and Jack Klugman the three were able to lift the 415 pound weight. Written by lenab9011 See less
