Dan phones, and after speaking with Emma, stews about losing Carolee to Aldrich. Steve reminds a tense Carolee that he's the man she loves. Carolee finds her peignoir beautiful but doesn't feel that she matches it. Dan calls Carolee with an invitation to dine with him on Saturday when he and Billy fly back to sell their home. Later, he quietly seethes when she refuses. Maggie tells Steve that Carolee seems uptight about something. Steve asks Carolee to trust him. Emma's comments about the weekend trip irritate Carolee.
