Maggie continues to worry about Greta, who doesn't want to leave her room. Matt receives a letter from Althea, sounding very lost and doubting her future as a doctor. Maggie forces a hesitant Greta to use the staircase where Julie fell. Carolee confides in Steve that she doesn't want to begin their relationship with lies, like the one she told her mother.
