Certain that he faces life in prison or worse, Rico rejects Colley's optimism about the case. Maggie debates whether or not Greta should be allowed to attend Julie's funeral. When he learns of Rico's arrest from the newspaper, an enraged Mike confronts his parents. Greta overhears Mike's rantings about Rico brutally pushing Julie to her death, and counters that Rico must be innocent since she didn't hear an argument between the two on the staircase outside her room.
