Twelve year-old Florian Meixner's ever-bickering separated parents Lorenz and Lisa start worrying as he fails to return from a mountain walk with his loner grandpa Rupert, having taken a longer route due to the unready bridge and call the rescue team. Rupert needs his medication daily, but has none left, finds out that Florian sabotaged the bridge to avoid returning home and exerts himself even more excessively when the doted knave falls down, needing to be pulled up with Rupert's last strength.
