The game takes place in a historically bad weather and in front of a red hot crowd. Clemson jumps to a big lead early and shuts down the Notre Dame running game. Despite some second half mistakes Notre Dame furiously comes back in the fourth quarter. Their effort to tie the game comes up short on a last minute two point conversion.
