Today, in that same place of the Peruvian Amazon, there is a small and isolated community where Indians and mestizos living separately. Kanús is the story of an indigenous, Alfonso Graña, and a settler, Cesar Lopez, struggling to preserve their own identity in the territory that they founded. Although they are condemned to understand each other, they have never sat down to talk. On the banks of river Kanus two empty chairs are waiting for them.
