Berlin, Germany: The Kaiser, Kaiserin, Crown Prince and Crown Princess witness the two hundredth anniversary of the Church of St. Sophie. Worcester, Mass: President Taft speaks from the steps of the City Hall while on his way to partake of some of his Aunt Delia's famous pies on his 55th birthday. Seattle, Wash: The American Association of General Passenger and Ticket Agents leave this city on the "Princess Alice" for Vancouver and Victoria. Cowes, England: The Regatta here brings out many speedy craft to compete in the races. New Haven, Conn: This city celebrates New Haven Day on its usual elaborate scale. Seattle, Wash: The Great Northern Steamship Company's ship "Minnesota," sailing for the Orient, carries the largest cargo ever loaded into a ship's hold, 16,000 tons dead weight. New York, N.Y: The Hamburg- American motor ship, "Christian X," the first transatlantic motor liner puts into this port for 1,000 tons of oil for fuel.
