Rob is let into Tom's house by Roshana, where they find more shells, souvenirs of India and evidence that Tom has withdrawn five thousand pounds. Rob also learns that Tom's wife died from a fall from a window. Shirley, another care assistant, tells Rob she saw a ghost of a woman in Indian dress and Rob finds a picture of just such a woman. Later Shirley is found dead, and, as with Alison, it appears that she drowned, though in her house. Rob finds a certificate to state that Tom is over a hundred whilst Hannah takes her little brother to Scarborough and tracks down Tom.
