Finances are tight so that when the Polish Anna, a customer at the shop, hands Moira a winning lottery ticket Moira tells her she has won £25 when it is actually worth thirty five thousand, Moira claiming the ticket as her own and ringing the lottery headquarters. Ken is shocked when he learns what she has done and they burn the ticket to hide the evidence but when Moira sees that Anna is as impoverished as herself she does the right thing and owns up.
