The youngsters investigate and, confronted by the witch, Tom has to use his magic powers, revealing to Katie that he is a wizard. They bring Ursula and Michael to the theatre, where they are briefly joined by a mysterious female journalist who disappears. The witch, Old Bethesda, demands that Ursula releases her daughters, who have been turned to stone for past misdeeds or else she will have revenge. Sinister shapes then appear.
