She is kidnapped in a home invasion by Dr. Jack Callahan, a man who is well known and respected in his community. Jack seeks to "create" the perfect person: a person who can feel no fear. He puts Anna through a series of unspeakable tortures in order to bring his demented plan to fruition. Anna, however, manages to outsmart him on a number of occasions. She does everything right, managing to break out and seek help from others. But when she escapes and tries to tell the world about what he's done to her, she finally realizes the most terrifying thing Jack has done...he's somehow managed to convince everyone that she's lying.
