Ashley spends a slow evening with her father at home. Michael tries to cheer up Christine. Phillip realizes that Paul and Christine, who are looking after him while Nina is in New York, are having problems. Later, Paul confesses to Chris that he's trying to get past the pain she caused over not wanting a family right now. With tears in her eyes, she pleads for his love and the two kiss. Cody notices that Carter seems to be on cloud nine. Admitting she had a single glass of wine and is suffering because of it, Tricia insists with Ryan that his moving out won't help their marriage and promises that they can live together - as friends if that is what he desires. Victoria is already making plans for Ryan and asks for Victor's OK to have him move in at the tack house. She is also pleased that their parents are on the brink of reuniting.
