Mills stabbed Lorna and slit her throat before handing himself in and claiming his alter ego ���Stan�۝ had killed Lorna, a reference to Stan Laurel - Who Mills was obsessed with. Mills tries to claim diminished responsibility but police discover he plotted the murder on internet forums and researched ways in which to kill Lorna.
