Bones are found, but they belong to a house cat. Devout Christian Lois has gone missing and a desperate search ensues. Then, a check is cashed signed by Lois Pearson to a Jeffrey Maxwell. Witness' sightings match with Maxwell as the owner of the blue car seen on Lois's property that day as police hone in on Maxwell. While questioning him at the door, there is a loud thump. Lois appears disheveled and bruised beside Maxwell. Lois is alive, barely. Yet, even hardened police officers are stunned to see the inside of Maxwell's house and the horrors Lois Pearson had endured.
