Their quiet family life changes when Caloy's playmate, the son of rich haciendero Miguel, falls off a horse and dies. Miguel blames Caloy and vows to hunt him down. Caloy flees with his loyal horse Chalk and finds refuge under baranggay captain Leon del Torro. The forces of good and evil clash when a meteorite falls and splits in two; the pieces land on Chalk and Miguel.
