He broadcasts daily emergency messages - sometimes more as a radio journal than in an earnest attempt to contact fellow survivors. Little does he know, several local hikers are listening on the other side of his broadcasts. One hiker, Rose, decides to reach out to John to let him know the world he once knew still exists. Upon meeting Rose, he is forced to face the truth about himself and the world into which he has retreated.
