But where there exist two Gundas in a small village with their friendship unique and staunch the lives and the properties of the villagers are certainly at stake. . As a matter of fact the Gundaism of these " Do Gunde" is such that the are the shield and shelter of the poor and the prescription of poison to the rascality of the rich. So the bourgeois Lala of the village with a hoard of his henchmen becomes the deadliest enemy of these two so called Gundas namely Sawan and Hari. Tulsi, the Love bird of Hari is the main target of malicious Lala, but with the timely help of Jagoo, the grocer, Sawan terminates all the mischievous efforts of Lala, and Hari is married to Tulsi. . This increases Lalas spite. He throws another poisonous dart which dashes in between the two bosom friends friendship with the result that Hari dies leaving his old mother, his young wife and a new member of the family, child Saroj under Sawans care and guidance. . Sawans outlook on life gets completely changed after death of his friend. Day in day out he works and toils hard to maintain his friend family. On the other side scheming and designing Lala with the help of his henchmen, poisons Tulsis ears against Sawan, with the result Sawan is refused to entry into Haris house by Tulsi. This gives an opportunity to Lala to enter Tulsis house to quench his long standing vicious and lusty thirst. One night he stealthily enters the house but again Sawans timely approach rescues Tulsi from Lalas criminal clutches. He is driven out of the house after the fight which results in lamenesses of Lalas leg and the re-union between the Tulsi and Sawan. . Sawan in face of all hardships brings up child Saroj as his own. In lapse of time Saroj grows up to be a beautiful belle of the village. But the irony of fate has it, that she falls in love with Raju who is the only son of her adopted fathers deadliest enemy, Lala. . This undying love affair of Saroj and Raju is made a tool by bad Lala to satisfy his personal vengeance against Sawan. He knowns fully well that Sawan being the adopted father of the girl will one day come begging on his knees asking the hand of his son for his beloved daughter. And when that day comes and Sawan approaches the Lala for the hand of his son for Saroj; the Lala refuses to wed his son with Saroj unless he abides by his merciless term. " Eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth" he demands Sawans leg in dowry. . This merciless demands puts Sawan in a fix. Will Sawan break his own leg or will he break the heart of his beloved daughter? Will it be a victory for bad Lala or will it be a victory for ever sacrificing and selfless Sawan? Whose solves this breath-taking and awe-inspiring problem and how?
