She receives news that the 'revolutionary' series of surgeries planned to restore her quality of life will NOT be approved by her insurance which sends this usually strong woman spiraling down, as her last hopes for an easier, pain-free life are dashed. Her recently widowed neighbor knocks on her door, bringing the best news of his life and no one to share it with. Emily tries to hide her own pain for him, but falls apart as we discover her overwhelming loss. But together they find the strength to keep going.
