His ship is shot down, and he is taken into custody at Cavalry Command. As the Star Sheriffs are enjoying a rare off day, Saber meets a woman named Sincia, who runs an orphanage, and becomes immediately smitten. The Star Sheriffs decide to visit the kids and lift their spirits. Two of the kids are taken hostage by the Outriders. Sincia tries to save the children on her own, and April follows after her.
