Billy's mother is her teacher and when Billy goes out for Halloween and gives no explanation, he sends Carrie several bizarre calls and leaves her in fear of her life. The local sheriff is running around in search of the stalker/killer (Billy) and when he gives a vague description to the principal, he knows instantly.
