On their final day of fishing the two Americans and their Mexican guide Pepe are shipwrecked on a remote and hostile desert island. With no sign of a rescue mission and little in the way of food or water the three men are in dire straights. Their only hope of survival is to embark on an epic 12 day journey to the northern tip of the Island where they hope to attract the attention of passing fishermen.
