After a few failed attempts to express his true feelings for her, Ben excuses himself and tries to regain his nerve. While he is collecting his thoughts by a tree in the nearby woods, he is intercepted by a mysterious stranger. This strange man claims to be Ben from the future. He goes on to explain that he has spent years trying to develop a way of traveling back in time to this very moment. The stranger tries to convince Ben that he must tell Emily how he feels about her right away before the opportunity is gone forever.
