Jill sends Esther on an errand so that she can finally walk up to the attic to find proof that Phillip wanted her to have the Chancellor Estate. Diane is about to back down and accept Victor's settlement offer when Michael storms into the penthouse to tell her that he consulted with other attorneys and they all agree that her divorce will not hold in court. Michael explains to Diane and Jack that she has the trump card: if Victor wants to be married to Nikki, he needs to pay Diane off. Victor gives John Silva his consent to enter into negotiations to clear this situation with Diane as soon as possible. Badgered by Malcolm Neil finally tells his brother that his relationship with Victoria has gotten a lot more complicated because of her pregnancy. Malcolm confronts Olivia with the news. Neil visits Victoria in the hospital who reports that she has no more bleeding and has decided on giving birth to this child. Victor and John arrive with a new settlement offer at Diane's, but Diane plays hardball with Michael's help and they decline.
