The added responsibilities of paying his mother's medical bills and managing his fathers coffee shop, changes Roger's life dramatically. The compiled pressures of his responsibilities, uncertainties of his past relationship with his father and his own loneliness trigger his obsession in finding the truth. Roger believes that an exterminator named Guy knows the answers. Down in the basement of the coffee shop Guy is handcuffed, chained and questioned. Only in communicating with his father does he open up and we see a sensitive, insecure Roger. The taped surveillance of the robbery leading to murder makes Roger strongly believe Guy is the one responsible for destroying his life. Until, the Junkie breaks into the coffee shop.
