Cassie starts dating Vicky's father, Dr Evan Lewis, while romance could be on the cards for Sarah after Gavin asks her to move in to look after his baby daughter. However, Sarah's husband Geoff is eager for a reconciliation, leaving Sarah with a dilemma. Vicky attempts to reconnect with Gavin, but when she learns of Sarah moving in to care for his daughter she tells him of Cassie's relationship with her father. Meanwhile Peter is still very depressed, having lost his grand daughter to Gavin, his wife to his doctor and his mistress aborting his child and later goes to visit his daughter Prue's grave for the very first time.
