Sofia's courage will again be put to the test to defend a girl who abandoned her daughter soon after giving birth and is now accused of the death of the newborn. Afonso Ferraz will restore the hope of a desperate woman by the difficulties of sustaining two sons whose father refuses to pay the pension decreed by the court. Pedro tells Vera (the new intern) to collect evidence to prove that a couple lived together despite not being married. Meanwhile, Pedro is busy following Helena who has been negotiating with the Spanish the sale of the company.
