He gets an invite to the wedding and decides to show them up by having a stunning girl accompany him as his 'plus one'. Initially he aims for Duncan's old flame Jo but she turns out to be in a coma, so he heads for Nicola, a desirable ex-school-mate and seeks to impress her by taking part in a charity run to raise money for Jo's condition.
