Sly Sludge decides to get rich off of this so poses as an interested scientist then steals the formula before it's tested, offering to let it devour trash in France where garbage-collectors prove a problem by going on strike. It turns out that the substance grows after "eating" the garbage, turning into a type of blob with an appetite growing with its size.
