Joseph left after Carl made threats against Faye but cut his head in a scuffle with Carl. Distraught over Dan's departure Maddy's work is sub-par and Linden encouraged her to take some leave. Back at the hospital Faye assured Joseph that she only attended a routine interview but Carl turned up and accused her of poisoning his father. A deeply suspicious Joseph told Carl she was innocent. Elsewhere, in a bid to impress Connie, Michael suggested a new technique which he'd pioneered in the States and which went well. Connie invited Michael for a drink to celebrate their success but he failed in getting her to come back to his place.
