Leslie asks Rod to find out who Normans new friend Rita is. Dr. Morton tells Mike and nurse Choate his daughter will return to Peyton Place from South Africa. Nurse Choate is delighted and admits to Dr. Morton she doesn't approve Dr. Rossi. She later suggests to Betty she should learn her duties so she won't make little mistakes anymore and makes clear she will have to compete with Claire Morton in the hospital whenever she turns home. Meanwhile, Rod seeks revenge on Kitch for beating up Norman. He looks him up and they get into a fight. Paul visits Elliot and admits he finally thinks he didn't kill Elizabeth.
