The Defence do not deny that Adams and various witnesses were involved in street robberies. However they argue that the victim was stabbed accidentally in a struggle. They suggest that bringing a knife was the idea of Vinny White. The Prosecution assert though that Adams was too intelligent and confident to be led by White, that he wielded the knife quite deliberately and is simply trying to deflect responsibility for his offence.
