Her husband was killed in the 9/11 tragedy and she is awaiting a huge compensation cheque but still clings to the fact that he may be alive. Katie is a doctor whose married lover,John Grey,dies. John's son Sam,a young student,is aware of his father's indiscretion and innocently asks Katie if,as his father's doctor,she knows the identity of his mistress. Siobhan, a lawyer,is married to Hari but they are experiencing fertility difficulties and she has an affair with work colleague Dominic.
