When Dan challenges him on giving the post to Jac when it comes up instead of it being a fair job selection Lord Byrne brings up about his sister-in-law's ties with hospital which shuts Dan up. Lady Byrne signs the papers to start the wheel rolling on her divorce from Lord Byrne. Elliott gets distressing news from the Coroner's office and has to miss his mandatory session on racism so he sends Maddie to explain but she ends up being part of the session and causes mayhem - so much so that she and Elliott are reported to the Board by Jayne Grayson. Meanwhile, Lord Byrne is taken ill and asks that Joseph operate on him. The surgery causes Lord Byrne to have a stroke but which finally shows Joseph that Jac has feelings for his father.
