Daughter Lily (11) insists to visit for grandmother's funeral to see grandpa Hakon Petterson, who refuses to see Jonas whom he irrationally blames for his daughter's fatal accident. Lily's aunt Sirka nevertheless welcomes both warmly and visits Jonas, who moved to a hotel so Lily can stay the holiday at Hakon's, spends time with him and they fall in love. Sirka ignores the dire financial situation of the family's glass manufacture, where she's creative director while her father and his devoted PA Berit, sister of Sirka's ex Michael, manage the business side, but when he makes clear to see no romantic future, she resorts to desperate measures which endanger everyone, and the firm.
