At the scene of a burglary of the home of a young woman, John is confronted by Kieron Caffrey, the woman's boyfriend, who tells him that he can leave and forget about it. While driving Maggie Hayes to a meeting, Sergeant Giffin suddenly stops the car and handcuffs and arrests a criminal he is familiar with.When a gun is found in his car Giffin is vindicated, but Maggie is angry with him, claiming he has endangered her safety.
