She has a host of admirers, but does not permit them to become serious. Jimmie Blake, who frequents the household more than anybody else, is a rattle-brained young chap who fancies that he is in love with Mildred and insists that he wants her to marry him. Mildred jokes him and refuses to take him seriously. Among Jimmie's friend is Billie Vaughan, son of a railroad president and actively engaged in railroad construction work. He is a sturdy, virile chap and falls in love with a photograph of Mildred, which he sees in Jimmie's apartments. Billie takes a vacation, and while in his hunting camp at the seashore meets Mildred and her aunt when a storm blows them to his hospitable shore. Jimmie has told Billie scornfully that the fair Mildred has primitive instincts, and will marry no one but a fighting man. Billie adopts the cue thus given, and treats Mildred with a gruffness and in a way calculated to win her admiration. His campaign is successful and he succeeds in carrying off his fair prize after a spirited contest. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
