Julia Roberts was nominated, and did win, the "Best Actress" Oscar for her performance as Erin Brockovich, in the film with the same name. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences served the Hollywood Wax Museum with a cease and desist order, stating that the wax museum could not use their coveted statuette to promote their business.
