Mother Jean wants to accept going out again, the first time since she's a widow, but tells Charlie she must ask Matt first, and hope they'll grow closer when he gives Charlie his riding lessons. Matt discovers the claimant Caldo Farms is probably a front; Kenny 'Junior' Davis accepts to act as rival claimant, so the dodgy claim may be neutralized- his price is just a single night with her, and as she realizes waking up in bed next to him, he even faked passing out in bed because she still didn't really want to go all the way. Pablo announces he'll leave Raintree if Wildfire does. After the hired jockey tells Kris to ride and teaches her how, they win the race breaking the track record on 1 1/4 mile, but Kenny's bid looses the draw. Now Jean and Pablo come to an agreement...
