Meanwhile, an adoption agent interviews Jake and Alison about a possible adoption plan, which falls apart due to their increased drinking. Amanda demands a documentation on her investment with Kyle and later they both meet with Peter and Taylor to talk about divorce. Craig continues to woo Sydney and finally gets her to soften her stance on the lawsuit, but the greedy Harry is not pleased and threatens Sydney. Billy learns the truth about Samantha's father's escape from prison and soon finds himself in trouble when two detectives question him about the whereabouts of Jim. Taylor complains to Michael about Peter's increasing obsession about making her as his late wife. Matt and Denise agree to schedule shared custody of Chelsea for a while, but Denise secretly asks Chelsea to be less kind to Matt in the journal she is keeping of his movements.
