The surviving member of the gang claims that there 4 million dollars more than what was turned into evidence. So all four cops were investigated, while Hunter was cleared the other 3 were not, although they were not prosecuted, they were still black balled. It was speculated that because 4 million was missing that there was a fourth member. When one of the three cops was killed, Hunter is being investigated again.
