Ken wants to spend the bank holiday reading but the rest of the family demand a day out. Sharon begs Don Worthington to let her stay with the Faircloughs; the Boltons are too posh for her and she feels out of place there. Worthington feels that she needs a long-term home. Eddie makes a book on the date of the royal birth. Bet's landlord tells her to vacate her flat whilst he has the roof repaired. The Barlows have a peaceful picnic. Len and Rita decide to apply to have Sharon permanently. Bet asks Alf to rent her the corner shop flat for a couple of weeks but he refuses. Ken tells Deirdre that he would like another child. They decide to try for one. Written by A. Nonny Mouse See less
