Tortured beyond endurance he throws his shoe, which contains one of his wife's stockings, at the cat. The shoe goes through the window of the house across the yard and receives the dazed attention of Mr. Nightlife returning home from a gay party with the guys. He pockets the stocking, where it is later found by his wife. Her jealousy and suspicions are immediately aroused. In the meantime a man and woman have been found thieving and are pursued by the police. Slippery Sue climbs up the fire escape of the Nightlife apartment and hides in the closet of their bedroom. How the crooks, the Schmidts and the Nightlifes finally meet in the courtroom is the amusing end to an interesting comedy. Written by
