The criminal bands are pleased, but thrown into a panic when they are warned to flee, as Giant Archis. the old detective, is about to trap them all. In a panic, they apply to the aged King of Crooks, who tells them Vasco, the mysterious Vampire, is the only one who can save them. Vasco is summoned. Vasco hypnotizes the sleuth and carries him to the den. The sleuth's daughter appeals to Sleuthhound. Won by her beauty, he swears to save her father and capture Vasco. Then follows many exciting incidents. For weeks Sleuthhound seeks Vasco in vain. His one clue is that Vasco frequents the opera in disguise. Sleuthhound visits the opera disguised as Salome, the dancer. Vasco is there as a handsomely gowned woman in the box. There is a meeting and a fight. Vasco escapes, but the young detective wounds him and makes him prisoner in the end. Vasco is sent back to a foreign land, where he is disgraced. Written by
